Leave Benefits & Programs

The following Leave benefits and programs are to eligible employees.

STD coverage provides income replacement if you are sick or injured and need time off work to recover. If you work 20+ hours per week, this coverage is provided by Quadient at no cost to you.

The STD plan provides 60% of your weekly salary, to a maximum of $2,500 per week for up to 26 weeks. Benefits begin on the eighth day you miss work because of an accident or illness.

LTD coverage protects you from loss of income in the event you are unable to work due to an illness, injury, or accident for a period of time that exceeds the STD benefit. If you work 20+ hours per week, this coverage is provided by Quadient at no cost to you.

LTD coverage will replace 60% of your base salary to a monthly maximum of $15,000 if you are disabled for more than 180 days and are unable to work. LTD benefits are offset by other sources of income, such as Social Security and workers’ compensation.

FMLA provides certain employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year. It also requires that their group health benefits be maintained during the leave. Quadient will grant FMLA in accordance with the applicable state and federal laws that govern at the time of the leave.

The Benefits Department or The Hartford can provide specific information about federal and state law rights and responsibilities whenever an employee requires leave benefits.

FMLA is unpaid and will run concurrently with any unused sick, vacation pay or state disability. Employees are encouraged to refer to their state specific Family and Medical, and Pregnancy Disability Leave laws. Please refer to The Quadient FMLA Policy for additional information on eligibility, entitlements, and qualified reasons for FMLA.
